Know God

Know God

      • People tend to be confused when it comes to understanding the trinity of God. We have: God the Father God the Son God the Holy Spirit As all 3 is fully God, this represents His personality. Personality refers to individual differences, and patterns of thinking, feelings and behaviour. The study of personality focuses on two broad areas - To understand the individual differences, in particular the different characteristics, such as sociability and arability. God is One, but there is different personalities and ways of doing things, and ways They present themselves. All three in the trinity have relational names. The Father - One can not be called a Father if He does not have a child. God the Father, has a Son. You can’t be called the Son, if you don’t have the Father. Who is our Father? Not Jesus. But God the Father. Jesus - He is the Son of God. We are sons and daughters of God the Father. Jesus became the way that connects us with the Father, He became the bridge. But He’s not less valuable than the Father. He is just the Son. God the Son. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the Father, and the Spirit of the Son (Matthew 10) See that the Father and the Son have the same Spirit. But the Spirit is also a personality apart from the Father and the Son. Demonic forces are also different personalities. The spirit of anger will manifest anger and rage. It will look like what it is. The Holy Spirit is about Love. This is also why the Holy Spirit is called, the Holy Spirit - Because there is other spirit around. He is the Spirit of God, but He is a different person and personality. If Jesus is God, who was He praying to? The Father spoke to Him and the Spirit spoke to Him. Deuteronomy 6: 4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. The Word is talking about unity. “We are One. We have the same purpose; We have the same mission; We are One in Spirit; One in heart and direction; One in purpose. Isaiah 45: 18  For the Lord, who created the heavens (He is God, who formed the earth and made it; He established it and did not create it to be a wasteland, but formed it to be inhabited) says this,“I am the Lord, and there is no one else. Even though God says He is the only God, He is talking about the Three in One. The “One” refers to unity. John 17: 21 “that they all may be one; just as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe [without any doubt] that You sent Me.” We have His Spirit, we have His heart, we have His direction, we have His purpose. His Kingdom is what we seek. We have His Word. His Word is Spirit and Life. Matthew 3: 16 - 17 As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. 17 And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Matthew 28: 19 - 20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Through these scriptures we can clearly see the different names, missions, characters and hearts. Jon 10: 30 I and the Father are one. “We stand for the same thing” is what Jesus is saying. John 14: 9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. As Jesus also represented the Father, we do through the fruits of the Spirit. We should always pursue to present God through His Spirit. We should always become more like Him. John 12: 45 “And whoever sees Me sees the One who sent Me.” Romans 8: 9 “….But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God].” To be one with Him, you have to have His Spirit. Luke 1: 35 Then the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you [like a shining cloud]; and so the holy (pure, sinless) Thing (Offspring) which shall be born of you will be called the Son of God. Through Jesus who is the Son of God, we are part of God’s Holy Offspring.
