Called to Dominate Part 2

Called to Dominate Part 2

By Pastor Jaco Mostert 23 July 2021

LUKE 4: 18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, We have been called to dominate. But a big part of the church struggle with strongholds in their minds due to the way we grew up and the devil’s input to program us in our way of thinking and in the way we decide to do life. People hate people that make them feel something unpleasant, but the problem isn’t necessary the person who offended you, it might be that the damage that was done to you in the past. God wants to heal you from past pains and hurts, and help you to also renew your mind on the Word of God, so that you can walk in freedom. We have created automatic responses within ourselves with certain situations that took place in our life, as a means of protecting ourselves. But many times the things we have set in place, now chains us, and we become bound by it. Jesus wants to set us free! We should make sure our values are found in Christ only and our expectations upon people are zero. We should all get to a place where we are healed in Christ enough to be able to serve and bless others without caring how they respond in return. In Mark 15:34 Jesus was experiencing the rejection of God on the cross, so that we no longer have to struggle with rejection. We no longer have to suffer under things that people are doing or not doing, because Jesus took that, and in return gives us Himself to be whole in Him. John 15: 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you. - Jesus said this, we can choose to receive it or not. The Word has already cleaned us. We are washed with the blood of Jesus who is the Word. - Allow the Word of God to renew you, so that you can walk in the freedom Christ came to give us. We need to be so focused on Jesus, that what other’s do or don’t doesn’t affect us being Christ-like. We have the ability to cause a lot of problems to ourselves because of our brokenness. Let the Blood of Jesus wash you, and the Word of God renew you.
