Pray in the Spirit/Baptism in the Holy Spirit

By Pastor Jaco Mostert 23 July 2021

You are not very strong in the natural, and in the Spirit we can be more effective in these last days. You will see in the Bible it changes a person completely. We had the fearful Peter that didn’t even want to recognize Jesus. They asked him “are you not friends with these people?” and he said “no, I don’t know them.” But then, from there to baptizing in the Holy Spirit, he became somebody that rebuked authorities, rebuked people that crucified him, and he became a very powerful minister of God. You and I must be the same. We must become powerful because we are weak in natural and strong in the Spirit. Luke 24: 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.” That power is “dunamis” which means “dynamite power”. We should receive dynamite power from Heaven. It’s a heavenly power. Not a natural power. It’s a supernatural power that God wants you to have. The churches are ending up where they are now because they’re not functioning in the supernatural power of God. See the word “clothed”, it’s like an armor, but clothing. Clothed with power, clothed with fire. And it makes sense because my God is an all-consuming fire, and when I am made in His likeness I am supposed to look like a fire when the enemy approaches. I am His child, I am His son or daughter. And you’re suppose to be on fire when the devil gets to you. But see that Jesus said to them “Stay in Jerusalem until you received this. Don’t carry on without this power that I promise you. Because you need this power.” We need this power now on earth. Don’t carry on with your life until you have received this power. Don’t go and try and minister without this power. Don’t try and do stuff without this power. Don’t go and try to open up a business without this power. God says you need this power, so you need this power!
