Church of the Bible Part 4

Church of the Bible Part 4

By Pastor Jaco Mostert 23 July 2021
Acts 2: 41 – 44 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. This Scripture shares it clear how the church should be. Devoted to the Apostle’s teaching’; to fellowship; breaking of bread and to prayer. Understanding the five-fold offices is also very important. Not everyone is called into a office, but every saint has been called to operate in the gifts of the Spirit and to serve. The calling comes with the fire and anointing. Each person will know what they burn for. Hebrews 13: 17 17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they are keeping watch over your souls, as those who will have to give an account. - Pastors or church leaders should know who they’re going to stand accountable for before God. - Where every person in the church chooses to stand should be clear. Do they choose to be visitors? Members? Partners? Matthew 13: 3 -9 3 Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. 9 Whoever has ears, let them hear.” Everyone should also check the condition of their heart. It will determine the growth as you are being equipped and enabled. God wants people to make up their mind whether they are in or out of the relationship with Him. Make a point to guard your heart. The devil will do anything to get you off track and get you to grow lukewarm, or even cold. He will be happy if he can remove you from the other sheep, the brothers, and sisters.
