Open the eyes of my heart Lord Part 1

Open the eyes of my heart Lord Part 1

By Pastor Jaco Mostert 22 July 2021

The eyes of my heart is: Having the ability to see things in the spiritual dimension. It’s to have the ability to see and perceive things, that I would normally not be able to see. God wants to open the eyes of our heart and our ears to be able to see things e haven’t before. Tradition and religion will tell you that this is not how God operates. Faith in the Word of God and the truth that this is how He works, will activate this in you. In the Word you’ll find “seers and prophets”. All prophets are seers, but not all seers are prophets. The more your faith increase, the more you’ll flow in seeing what the Spirit wants you to see. Ephesians 1: 18 And [I pray] that the eyes of your heart [the very center and core of your being] may be enlightened [flooded with light by the Holy Spirit], so that you will know and cherish the [f]hope [the divine guarantee, the confident expectation] to which He has called you, the riches of His glorious inheritance in the [g]saints (God’s people),… God wants to switch the lights on in our eyes. This means to tap into our imagination and allow God to move in our imagination/ image maker. This requires nothing else but childlike faith. Television means: Telling someone’ vision. The Holy Spirit wants to roll His thoughts in front of you, like we see the thoughts of someone else on the television. The Holy Spirit wants to do this in our image maker/imagination. He also then wants us to respond to what He shares with us. Sometimes we’d have to speak what we see – Prophecy. And like this He wants us to flow. Flow is the key. Colossians 3: 2 Set your mind and keep focused habitually on the things above [the heavenly things], not on things that are on the earth [which have only temporal value]. Keep your mind set on the things of God. Keep your mind on the Supernatural dimension, not on the natural dimension. Set your mind and keep it set. Some days we set our mind on our bank account, or our problems… This is then when we become afraid. Acts 2: 17 ‘AND IT SHALL BE IN THE LAST DAYS,’ says God, ‘THAT I WILL POUR OUT MY SPIRIT UPON ALL MANKIND; AND YOUR SONS AND YOUR DAUGHTERS SHALL PROPHESY, AND YOUR YOUNG MEN SHALL SEE [divinely prompted] VISIONS, AND YOUR OLD MEN SHALL DREAM [divinely prompted] DREAMS; We are now in the time of dreams, visions and prophecy. If we are set on this, we will see this. If we don’t regard these things and don’t care about it, we will miss it. It’s about focus and choice. We get to choose what we look at, and what words we release from our mouth. It’s our choice. Life or death, is our choice. Our vision, mission and ideas regarding all aspects of life, got perverted while we were part of this world. We were meditating on the wrong things. Now, we should start to meditate on God’s Word, day and night. (Joshua 1:8) This word “meditate” means in Hebrews to “imagine”. It’s to make an image of what you’re reading. For example: I see that I have the shield of faith. I see that I have the sword of the Spirit. I see that I am seated in Heavenly places with Christ. Habakkuk 2: 1 [Oh, I know, I have been rash to talk out plainly this way to God!] I will [in my thinking] stand upon my post of observation and station myself on the tower or fortress, and will watch to see what He will say within me and what answer I will make [as His mouthpiece] to the perplexities of my complaint against Him. “In my thinking” is what we need to see here. God speaks through images flowing. I have seen for myself that it works best to take a pen and a paper when you try to remember a dream. The Spirit then taps into that flow and I find myself remembering all of the details in the dream. Keep in mind that Habakkuk wrote “… I will watch to see what He will say within me…” This is again, the eyes of our heart. I need to ask you, where is your mind? Is it set on carnal things mostly? Because this will hinder your ability to tap into His flow when He speaks. Or are your mind set on the things above? Romans 13: 14 But clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for [nor even think about gratifying] the flesh in regard to its improper desires. God dresses us with His Word. He speaks over our lives. He says that I am the head and not the tail; that I am worth dying for. These are the words that I put on over me. Other people might have an opinion, but God’s Word is ruler over all opinions. Putting on what God says is also for my imagination. I have to see what He says. Seeing with the eyes of your heart will happen when you enter the dimension where it’s possible for it to happen. Our prayer should be “open the eyes of my heart Lord.” It’s part of choosing that I will make a shift by looking away from what I use to have my eyes on, and now focusing on what He says
