The Church of the Bible Part 1

The Church of the Bible Part 1

By Pastor Jaco Mostert 23 July 2021

As a church we need to make sure not to neglect the effectiveness of ministry and disciple raising, as the numbers in the church grow. It should never be about the numbers, it should be about effectiveness. The church is like a house that should be in order. Each church has a leader, they operate in the apostolic. They have the vision and is going somewhere. Understand that we want to do Church in submission to the Word of God. We are all the church, but also the body of Christ. The members of the body of Christ, gets together in a building which is also called a church. Many are confused on how the body of Christ operates. Each church (building) isn’t a specific member of the Body of Christ. But within one church, there are many body members. The work of the church is to raise disciples. It is to equip every believer. Yes, you get filled with the Spirit and filled with His fire. Yes you get into His presence and recharged in the church, but the mission should be for everyone to get equipped within their church for the New Testament Christian walk and life. The church is like a house hold. And needs to be taken care of. So if there are things being said and done which is out of line and causing a division and confusion, it must be exposed and dealt with. There is a lot of paying church, meaning: People just go through the motion and do church. People go home just as sick as they came to church. They are still bitter; angry; full of lust, etc. But “it’s fine I went to church”. Every person in the church must know their purpose and their mission, otherwise they’ll attend church and not grow or get effectively equipped for their calling. The church is about being effective, about a family and order.
