The Church of the Bible Part 2

The Church of the Bible Part 2

By Pastor Jaco Mostert 23 July 2021

According to the Bible, signs, and wonders go with the Gospel. We have to make sure to be in line with this, if the signs and wonders aren’t taking place, we have to go look for the “why”. Each church is supposed to have people in the offices of the Bible: Pastor; Teacher; Prophet; Apostle and Evangelists. There is a lot of help that is needed in the Body of Christ. Every “Churchgoer” should grow to the point and beyond of helping others also. It’s not only the Pastor’s work, it’s every Christians’ work. The church is only a place where every Christian gets enabled and equipped for ministry. James 5:16 Confess your faults to one another and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The supplication of a righteous man prevails much, being effective. - This is what is needed in a church. - There should be trust amongst each other where confession of sins can take place. Hebrews 10: 25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Gathering together is a New Testament command. Yes, we also believe where two or more gather’s in His Name that He is there. But there are more scriptures regarding gatherings, and Hebrews 10: 25 is part of it. We have to gather with our brothers and sisters, and operate in ministry or grow in ministry. Each church has its own set of all body parts amongst them. Many people have excuses to miss out on joining a church. They think gathering together alone in the house or at a restaurant, is participating in the fullness of the Church which the Bible speaks of. As much as Scripture speaks about the church that gathers in the house, we have to ask ourselves if it the A plan. Is the church in the house really operating like the bigger church is? Does it have all the Body of Christ members and offices?
