Do not look at Christmas through the lens of a religious spirit. A person with a religious spirit believes that he or she will become right by the things they observe and the things they do down here. This spirit is driven by fear, that if you don’t do these things you will not be right with God. You are much bigger than the things down here, the devil wants to keep you out of the spirit and in the natural.
Our job in the body of Christ is to discover the roots of the problem, sin opens doors and keeps you separated from God. Christmas is the biggest feast that the whole world observes. Who made this so big? When asked what Christmas is about most people will respond regardless of their culture or belief that it is the birth of Jesus Christ. Jeremiah 10:2 This is what the LORD says: "Do not learn the ways of the nations or be terrified by signs in the heavens, though the nations are terrified by them. 3 For the customs of the peoples are worthless; they cut down a tree from the forest; it is shaped with a chisel, by the hands of a craftsman. 4They adorn it with silver and gold and fasten it with hammer and nails so that it will not totter. 5 Like scarecrows in a cucumber patch, their idols cannot speak. They must be carried because they cannot walk. Do not fear them, for they can do no harm, and neither can they do any good.” In this video Pastor, Jaco looks at the history behind Christmas celebrations and the true meaning of Christmas.
